I have been a Medical Technologist
for over 30 years. I obtained my BS degree from Wittenberg
University and an MT certification from the Benedum School at
the Western Pennsylvania Hospital.I have a broad range of
experience ,working first at Tuft’s New England Medical Center
in Hematology and Parisitology and then at the University of
Virginia Medical Center in the Blood Bank. I have been
supervisor of Dr. Bruce Rabin’s Clinical Immunology laboratory
at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center for the past 15
years. This laboratory serves five hospitals and does over 100
different clinical antibody assays utilizing many different
methods that include electrophoresis,elisa, western blot,
nephelometry, luminex and chemiluminesence. The laboratory is
also responsible for teaching Pathology residents, medical
students and medical technology students. |
